Augustus William Enness studied at the Slade School of Art and the Academie Julian in Paris. He was a landscape painter and worked in oils, depicting many rural scenes of Southern England, continental views and scenes in the Lake District.
He was elected RBA in 1925 and was a prolific exhibitor there. He frequently showed at ROI, the Fine Art Society, RA, Ridley Club, RSA and Walker Gallery Liverpool.
Exhibited: Salon des Artistes, Paris, Royal Academy, Royal Institute of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art.
